The Haven beauty salon website is now live

website design for the haven york

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new website we have designed for local York Beauty Salon, The Haven. This was a great project to work on as it was about an industry I knew very little about. Being a bit of an ‘old skool’ kind of guy and having not been blessed with film star good looks, my physical appearance has never been one of my priorities, after all you can’t polish a tu… I would far sooner spend a saturday afternoon down the pub watching football (on the odd occasion I get a day off) rather than have a work out down the gym to improve my physical appearance, so the world of beauty treatments was something I was totally unfamiliar with. Shellac Manicures & Pedicures, Permanent Cosmetics, Lava Shell Massage, it was all Greek to me. Well no more. The beauty of working in the graphic and web design industry is that no two jobs are the same. The variation of business sectors in which our clients operate is vast, and has enabled us to get an insight into industries that may otherwise have passed us by.

The Haven had recently undergone a redesign of their corporate identity and needed a website that would fit seamlessly into their new style. We followed the sleek, modern design of The Haven’s new brochure to the letter, creating a clean, uncluttered website which was both easy to navigate and pleasing to look at. We designed the website to be responsive, meaning it will scale to the optimum size depending on which device it is being viewed. As with all website design projects, getting the website to rank highly on Google (other search engines are available, they’re just not as good) was a major factor. After all, there’s no point designing a beautiful website if no one gets to see it.

The website has been well received by all the team at The Haven and has given this ‘bloke’ a glimpse into the world of beauty and relaxation treatments which may have gone undiscovered.
