Being keen motorsport enthusiasts, we decided to dust off the camera and head over to St. Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough, to watch the 2010 RAC Rally, and hopefully capture some of the action.

There is nothing we like more at York Graphic Designers than seeing the face of a satisfied customer. John tasked YGD with restoring and recolouring an old photo for his friend Cliffe. The photo was of Cliffe’s wife, Eileen, on their wedding day, who had sadly recently passed away. Cliffe had mentioned it was a shame that when they were married in the late 1940′s, it was generally only black and white photography that was available.

The credit crunch, the continuing saga over MPs expenses, and an upcoming general election, means you can’t turn on a television or pick up a paper, without having to look at the faces of politicians who seem intent on sending our country down the swanny. Here at YGD we thought we would use our skills to turn the tables, and manipulate the politicians for a change.

We all have pictures from days gone by that capture special moments, or people. In many cases these pictures have not stood the test of time, often becoming creased, dog eared, or torn. To the untrained eye, these photographs may appear ruined, cheerished momentos, lost for ever.
