York Graphic Designers News – recently completed projects and random musings from the York Graphic Designers team.
Farrar Levin approached York Graphic Designers to create the corporate identity for their Yorkshire based legal recruitment agency. The first part of the York Graphic Designers corporate identity design process is to do extensive research into the industry sector to make sure we create a brand that is suitable for the type of market in which the company operates.
Conveying a positive message through original and suitable branding is essential to make a business stand out in such a competitive industry such as legal recruitment. The research showed that the legal recruitment sector was still very traditional with regards to design, using colours such as blue and grey to inspire confidence with potential candidates that may be looking for a new position within the legal sector.
We created several initial concepts and after receiving positive feedback it was decided that we would develop the logo concept featuring a three dimensional graphic made up of the company initials. The client decided to change the name of the company, so we adapted the graphic to feature the new initials.
We developed the logo further by trialing various fonts and weights for the company name, and decided upon a bold sans serif font to give the logo a clean and uncluttered look.
